The police have rescued one of the timber dealers abducted by unknown gunmen on Tuesday between Auga and Akunu axis of Akoko north east local government area of Ondo state.
Positive fm gathered that the victims were plank dealers who came from Sagamu in Ogun state.
Report says the suspected kidnappers waylaid andĀ abducted them while returning to base through Auga- Akunu Akoko road after loading planks.
Confirming the abduction, the divisional police officer Ikare Akoko, a Supretendent of Police, SP Akintelure Akinwande said three persons were kidnapped but one was rescued.
Meanwhile, The Alauga of Auga Akoko Oba Samuel Agunloye and the regent Of Akunu Akoko, Princess Tolani Orogun haveĀ directed their vigilante and local hunters as well as farmers to join other security agents to comb the forest in order to rescue the remaining two victims.
