A woman has been arrested by the police in Ondo state for inflicting injuries on a house boy over alleged stealing of meat from her pot.
Injuries were allegedly inflicted on the boy in 10 different places by the woman.
Her arrest followed a trending video on Twitter.
The incident happened in Adebowale area of Akure, the state capital.
As a result of the injuries inflicted on the helpess boy, blood was seen gushing out from his body in the video.
The spokesperson of the state police command, Funmilayo Odunlami confirmed this development.
She said the case would be transferred to the criminal investigation department on Monday.
In the meantime, the boy has been taken to police clinic in Akure for treatment.
A popular social media influencer, Yemi Fash followed the case to the police clinic and said he is not willing to back out until justice is served.
