Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped a former member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon Edu Mayokun.
According to report, Jon Mayokun was abducted on Saturday evening along Ikere-Igbara Odo road in Ikere Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
Mayokun was a former House of Assembly member in Ekiti during the first term of Governor Ayodele Fayose.
He was said to be travelling from Ikere to Igbara Odo when he was stopped and pulled out of his vehicle to an unknown destination.
This incident happened barely four days after a lawyer who was also a former House of Assembly member, Hon Sule Adedayo Longe and unspecified number of passengers were abducted on Tuesday evening, February 8, along the Ijesa-Isu axis on their way to Ado-Ekiti from Omuo Ekiti.
The Ekiti Police Command is yet to confirm the incident as at the time of filing this report.
