THE ONDO STATE DIRECTOR OF THE NATIONAL ORIENTATION AGENCY, NOA MRS ADELAYO ADEFOLALU HAS CALLED FOR A LAW RESTRAINING CHILDREN UNDER EIGHTEEN YEARS FROM USING INTERNET ENABLED PHONES TO REDUCE THE RATE OF SOCIAL VICES IN THE COUNTRY.

MRS ADEFOLALU MADE THE CALL IN AKURE WHILE FEATURING ON A POSITIVE FM, PERSONALITY PROGRAMME, “GUEST OF THE WEEK”

SHE MAINTAINED THAT MANY YOUTHS HAD BEEN BADLY INFLUENCED THROUGH THE VARIOUS SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS.

THE NOA BOSS ALSO DECRIED THE LEVEL AT WHICH SOME PARENTS ENCOURAGED THEIR CHILDREN BY BUYING PHONES AND LAPTOP FOR THEM TO PERPETRATE INTERNET FRAUD.

MRS ADEFOLALU THREW HER QEIGHT BEHIND SOME NIGERIANS WHO SUGGESTED THAT ANY YOUTH WHO ENGAGES IN INTERNET FRAUD SHOULD BE ARRESTED ALONGSIDE THEIR PARENTS TO SERVE AS DETERRENT TO OTHERS.

SPEAKING ON WHAT THE AGENCY WAS DOING TO REDUCE GET RICH-QUICK SYNDROME, IN THE COUNTRY, THE NOA BOSS EXPLAINED THAT THE AGENCY WAS ENGAGING STAKEHOLDERS TO SPREAD THE GOSPEL OF HARDWORK AMONG THE YOUTHS.

MRS ADEFOLALU WHO SAID NOA HAD CREATED INTEGRITY CLUBS IN SCHOOLS IN THE STATE TO INSTILL MORAL VALUES IN YOUTHS URGED THEM TO KEY INTO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT’S EMPOWERMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAMMES.
