Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has solicited the prayers of the church for the nation’s political leaders to enhance political and economic stability.

The governor stated this while playing host to the newly inaugurated executive members of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, Ondo state chapter in his office.

Governor Akeredolu noted that with the present security, economic and other challenges facing the nation, the intervention of religious bodies could not be over emphasized.

Gov Akeredolu with the new CAN chairman, Rev Fr Anslem Ologunwa and the immediate past chairman, Rev John Ayo Oladapo.

 

He however assured CAN of his administration’s commitment to infrastructural, educational and overall development of the state.

Earlier, the immediate past chairman of the association,  Dr John Ayo-Oladapo while introducing the newly inaugurated CAN chairman Rev. Anslem Ologunwa, appreciated Governor Akeredolu saying his six years tenure has enjoyed massive support.

Rev. Ologunwa while thanking the governor for his numerous projects scattered in part  promised that CAN will not stop interceding  for the state.

He appealed for the handing over of missionary schools for effective management especially in the area of instilling morals into youths in the society.

The CAN executives were received alongside the governor with his deputy, Lucky Ayedatiwa, Secretary to the state government, Mrs Oladuni Odu, Chief of staff to the governor Chief Olugbenga Ale among other governm
