The Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Lekan Balogun has been presented with staff and instrument of office.
At a well attended event held at Mapo Hall,the Oba who dressed in ofi alaari wore a white beaded crown
The Olubadan who was full of smiles said he appreciated the almighty God for sparing his life to become the Olubadan.
He promised to bring more development to the city of Ibadan.
In a remark, governor of Oyo state , Seyi Makinde said he was happy that the Ibadan traditional institution had been restored.
He said the laws guarding the appointment should remain sacrosanct.
Governor Makinde expressed the hope that Ibadan would witness peace all round during the Olubadan’s tenure.
Earlier, secretary to, Oyo State government, Mrs Olubamiwo Adeosun had appreciated the people for turning up in large number to honour the Olubadan.
Monarchs Who witnessed the coronation ceremony included the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, The Emir Of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero.
