The need for broadcast stations to always work with the national broadcasting commission NBC code before putting out their content has been stressed.
NBC coordinator in ondo state, Mr Sunkanmi Adewale stated this while playing host to the new General Manager positive FM, Mrs Olubunmi Olalere and some management staff in his office in Akure.
Mr Adewale described federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN as a modest broadcast station that had been following due process in dishing out credible contents in the areas of programmes and news.
Mr Adewale said though their responsibility as NBC was to regulate activities broadcast stations to ensure they do not deviate from the approved guidelines.
While promising to continue a robust relationship with Positive FM, Akure, the NBC boss called on broadcast organisation in the state to carry out their operations diligently and in conformity with NBC codes
Speaking earlier the General Manager, positive f.m, akure, Mrs Olubunmi Olalere had described NBC as an important entity in the media industry and lauded them for actively regulating broadcast content for a united nation.
Mrs Olalere however solicited more robust relationship between the commission and positive FM Akure urging it to continue organising periodic meetings and workshops for media stations for excellent broadcasting.
