As part of efforts to make his Royal activities run smoothly, the Alafin of Afin Akoko in Akoko Northwest local government area of Ondo state, Oba AbdulRaheem Adejoro has been presented with a new Toyota car by some indigenes of the ancient town known as Afin Galaxy Forum.
While Presenting the car to the monarch, President of the forum, Mr Abayomi Olukoju and the secretary, Mr Ojo Famujimi noted that they decided to gift Oba Adejoro the car as part of efforts to make the town recover all it has lost in the last fifteen years that the stool of Alafin was vacant.
They lamented that the town was lagging behind in terms of infrastructure urging government and prominent sons and daughters of the community to come to its aid.
Responding, the Alafin, Oba AbdulRaheem Mustapha Adejoro commended the group for being patriotic and selfless in giving back to the community.
He described the Afin Galaxy forum as a pacesetter that others will emulate.
Oba Adejoro also solicited the support of indigenes of the town towards ensuring speedy completion of the ongoing palace project.
The monarch also used the occasion to commend some indigenes who donated drugs and other consumable items to the basic health center afin.
