Chief Monday Andrew Adodo popularly known as ” De Senator ” has been laid to rest at Ijagba in Ose council area of Ondo State.

At the funeral service held at St Paul’s Anglican Church , Ijagba , the vicar , Rev. John Ọmọlẹ́yinjú in a message titled ” Teach us to number our days ” from Psalms 90 verse 12
declared that it was not how far but how well that counts.

The cleric said people should understand that the value of their days would be measured by God saying what would count after death was not what one got or gained but one’s deeds.

He admonished the congregation to live a life worthy of emulation adding that one’s certificates or wealth would not take one to Heaven.

Chief Monday Andrew Adodo died on December 22nd, 2021 at the age of seventy two years.

Popularly called “De Senator” by friends and associates, Chief Adodo died during a brief illness.

He worked with the defunct National Electric Power Authority (NEPA) and was a former Secretary of the National Union of Electricity and Gas Workers, Benin City Branch.

Chief Adodo was also the Secretary of the PHCN Retired Staff Association, Benin City Branch and the Vice President of the union in the South-South Zone.

He is survived by children and grand children amongst whom is Mr Oredola Adodo and siblings including Friday Adodo of Positive FM, Akure.#
