The Ondo State House of Assembly has congratulated the entire Members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ondo State Council on the emergence of news leadership under the Chairmanship of Comrade Leke Adegbite.

In a Press Release signed by the House Spokesman, Akogun Olugbenga Omole, the Speaker, Rt Hon. Oleyelogun Bamidele David commends the media professionals for also electing new officers to pilot their affairs.

Rt. Hon. Oleyelogun notes with satisfaction robust relationship between the State Assembly and Ondo NUJ in recent past, urging the new Executives of the Union to sustain the smooth partnership for greater Sunshine State.

The statement reads, “I have no doubt that Comrade Adegbite as a former State Secretary of the Union, will bring his wealth of experience to the table in conducting the affairs of the Pen Profession. We shall be ready to support the union in anyway that we should foster our relationship; Congratulations.

While wishing the NUJ leadership a successful tenure, the Speaker pledges the readiness of the State Lawmakers to support the new Executives.

Congratulations to Ondo NUJ

Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, wishes to congratulate the newly-elected Members of Executive of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council, on their emergence at the just-concluded election of the Council.

No doubt, your emergence is not unconnected with your antecedents within the Fourth Estate of the realm.

As a University, we are confident that the new Members of Executive, under the Chairmanship of Prince Leke Adegbite, would justify the confidence reposed in them by their colleagues by providing enviable and purposeful leadership and services to the Union and the people of Ondo State.

Felix Ale Congratulates Adegbite on his Emergence as Ondo NUJ Chair, Urges Professionalism

 

Scholar and Head Media and Corporate Communications of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Dr. Felix Ale, has congratulated the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council on the outcome of it’s election which produced Prince Leke Adegbite as Chairman.

In a congratulatory message personally signed and made available to Newsmen, Dr Ale described the outcome of the NUJ election as a reflection of the choice of journalists and media professionals across the different chapels in the state.

He stated that as a thorough-bred journalist who has distinguished himself, he is confident that Prince Adegbite would bring his wealth of experience to bear in the administration of the NUJ in the state.

The NARSDA Spokesperson urged Adegbite to unite the NUJ and mobilise members of the union to meet their functions of providing information, enlightenment, entertainment, and surveillance to the larger society.

He said the victory is a good one for the Union and all practising journalists in Ondo State.

Dr Ale advised the new chairman to make personal efforts to reach out to all members of the union who might be aggrieved with his emergence for reconciliation.

He reminded the NUJ leadership that the country would continue to look up to their members for fair, balanced and objective journalism, particularly at this critical moment of our history and development.

He urged the media to forge greater unity in the union, engage in productive dialogue to resolve any issue inimical to the progress of the association.

“I wish My brother, Prince Leke Adegbite well in his endeavours, and pray for his success throughout the three-year tenure.

I have the confidence that the current Executive Members will move the NUJ Ondo State Council to an enviable height.” Ale said.
