The Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, says it has opened up the political space for credible Nigerians to run for elective offices by slashing the cost of nomination and Expression of interest forms.
A statement by the National Secretary of the party, Mr. Yahaya Makama, says apart from slashing the cost of the forms, youths, women and persons with disability will obtain the forms at no cost to run for political offices of their choice in 2023 general election.
The statement indicates that the reduction of the nomination fees is to allow credible Nigerians who are popular but hindered by high nomination fees charged by Political Parties to achieve their desire to serve the country.
It stresses the need to move away from social media Politics to that of practical grassroots which deemphasises monetization of the democratic process for a genuine development.
