The Commissioner for information and orientation in Ondo state Hon. Donald Ojogo, has resigned.

In his resignation letter,  Mr Ojogo said he was resigning because he wanted to contest the House of Representatives seat for Ilaje/ Ese-Odo Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections under the ruling party in the state, All Progressive Party (APC).

Mr Ojogo said he was resigning by the provision of Section 84 (12) of the Electoral Act, 2022.“Sequel to the 2022 Electoral Act Section 84 (12) as amended and the circular received from the office of the Secretary to the State Government.

I wish to write and tender my resignation as Honourable Commissioner in the Government of Ondo State to enable me to pursue my aspiration to run for the office of the House of Representatives in the National Assembly come 2023. The letter added.
