Ondo State Government has donated relief materials to National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to cushion the effect of rainstorm which recently ravaged some of the orientation camp in Ikare.

The Deputy Governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, while delivering the materials on behalf of government said the materials were given to cushion the effect of the rainstorm.

Mr Aiyedatiwa, represented by the Secretary, State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Mr Femi Obideyi said it was part of the agency’s mandate to prevent disaster and support those it had affected

Receiving the materials on behalf of the NYSC, Mr Lasisi Olawuyi appreciated the state government for the kind gesture and always being a partner in progress.

Mr Olawuyi noted that the donation would go a long way at ensuring that some of the buildings affected were put back to shape.

Some of the building materials donated were roofing sheet, Nails and bags of cement.

Rainstorm had affected offices and hostels at the NYSC orientation permanent orientation camp in Ikare Akoko, Akoko North -East Local government on March 21.
