Governor Nasiru Elrufai has sworn in Justice Muhammad Tukur Muazu Aliyu as the acting Chief Judge of Kaduna State.

He also sworn in Abdurrahman Umar Abubakar as Grand Kadi of the State.

Governor Nasiru El-Rufai while swearing-in the Chief Judge and the Grand Kadi at government house Kaduna charged them to be committed and have the fear of God in the discharge of their duties.

Malam El-Rufai appealed to the relations and friends of the acting chief judge and the Grand kadi not to put them under pressure in the course of their assignment.

He emphasized the need for their relations and residents of the state to support them with prayers for adequate service delivery.

The governor also thanked the retiring Chief Judge Muhammad Lawal Bello for his distinguished service to the state.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the ceremony ,the acting Chief Judge Muhammad Tukur Aliyu promised to ensure that, judiciary is governed according to the provisions of the constitution and the law.

On his part, the Grand kadi, Abdurrahman Abubakar appreciated the government for finding them worthy and promised to do their best to deliver on their mandate.
