Fronline manarchs in Akoko area of ondo state and notable personalities have reacted to the demise of Alafin of oyo oba Lamidi Adeyemi.

Among them is the Zaki of Arigidi Akoko,  Oba Yisa olanipekun whose kinsman, Otunba Gani Adams was installed as the Aare ona kakanfo by the late monarch described him as an elderly, experienced traditional ruler who was very accomodating and peace loving.

He prayed God to grant the Oyo state government and the entire people of Oyo town the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The Akala of Ikaram Akoko and the chairman Akoko northwest local government traditional council oba Andrew Momodu described the passage of alaafin, oba Adeyemi as the end of an era being the custodian of yoruba culture and tradition.

Oba Momodu noted that a first class monarch has left with some unforgettable legacies.

A former speaker of the Ondo state house of assembly,  Dr Bakita Bello described Oba Adeyemi’s long reign as a huge asset to his people as oyo town witnessed radical transformation while he held sway.
