The Kwara state Police command has arrested two suspected ritualists with fresh human head and hands at Oke Oyi, on Jebba road in Ilorin.

In a statement by the Command’s Spokesman, Okasanmi Ajayi said policemen attached to Operation Harmony, while on patrol of Oke Oyi/Jebba road today at about 1130hrs , intercepted two men on a motorcycle who attempted to evade the officers on stop and search duty.

The statement said the action aroused the suspicion of the operatives, adding that the suspects were chased and forced to stop.

The statement explained that in the process of searching them, a bag containing a fresh human head and hands were found in their possession.

The statement noted that during interrogation, the suspected ritualists simply identified as , Wasiu Omonose 35yrs, of Abioye compound and Akanbi Ibrahim 32yrs of Sayo street all of Share, said they were taking the fresh human head and hands to an Alfa in Ilorin for ritual purposes.

The statement maintained that the suspected ritualists will be charged to court for prosecution as soon as investigation into the matter is concluded.
