The Lawmaker representing Akoko south west Constituency 1 in the state house of assembly Mr Olugbenga Omole has donated food items, medications and other essential needs to children home in Akure.
The donations were part of activities marking the lawmaker’s fiftieth birthday.
Mr Omole said was his way of giving back to the society and identifying with them.
Receiving the items at the Ondo state children home oba-ile, the commissioner for women affairs princess Adebunmi Oshadahun thanked the lawmaker for the gesture and also called on well meaning Nigerians to donate for the welfare of vulnerable children.
At the daughter of charity of St Vincent de Paul iwaro-oka, the lawmaker also donated food items to the women.

The project manager of the home, Reverend sister Chinyere Oguajanma who appreciated the lawmaker for the donations said the home which currently accommodate twenty women with various mental challenges lacked basic amenities such as beds, mattress and proper perimeter fencing.
Reverend sister Oguajanma also appealed to government to deploy social workers to the home to assist them.
