Unknown gunmen have attacked the residence of the Executive Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area in Ebonyi State, Elder Steve Orogwu in Ekpomaka village, killing his four relations and setting his house ablaze.
Speaking in a telephone interview, Elder Orogwu explained that those killed were his seventy five year old elder brother, his two sons and a guard.
He noted that the unknown gunmen who operated in a white Hilux van and dressed in military camouflage forced their way into his residence and lined up the victims before being shot.
He expressed shock over the development noting that he would have been assassinated as well if he was to be at home emphasising that the attack was not the first attempt on his life.
Police in the state were yet to respond to inquiries on the incident but it was gathered that the remains of the victims had been deposited in a mortuary.
