Nigerians have been reminded again to make use of Nigerian made products to grow the economy of the country.

Ondo State director of NOA, Mrs Adelayo Adefolalu gave the advice in Akure at a one day seminar organised to sensitize the citizenry

Mrs Adefolalu pointed out that the economy of the country would only grow if made in Nigerian goods were happily cherished, promoted and patronized

The NOA boss stressed that the non patronage of Nigerian products was part of reasons for the nation’s dwindling economy, leading to dwindling, high rate of unemployment, low value of the naira, industries operating at low capacity, hindrance to growth of local industries.

Mrs Adefolalu therefore said the seminar was organised to educate Nigerians on the implications of preferring foreign goods to Nigerian made and to also intimate Nigerians to make use of the products to create jobs, and encourage Nigerian industries to produce high quality goods among others

Some of the stakeholders, President National council of women society Ondo State Chapter, Dr Jumoke Aborode pointed out that making use of Nigerian made products would assist the country in many ways

Also speaking, Ondo State chairman, National Association of Small scale Industriaists, Mr Great Seyi who commended NOA for the effort advised the government to always assist Nigeria products financially to grow the sector being the engine room of economic development

On his part, NAFDAC coordinator in Ondo State,  Mr Benu Philip emphasised that high prices of goods did not indicate quality hence Nigerians should embrace their home made products.

Other participants who attended the seminar charged NOA to always be in the forefront to preach the gospel for the people at the grassroots to imbibe the habit of using Nigerian products.

The one day sensitization campaign was organised with the theme, “change begins with me, patronize made in Nigeria goods and services.”
