Foremost Nigerian Afro/Highlife musician, Julius Ekemode, popularly known as Orlando Julius, who died on April 14, at the age of 78, would be laid to rest today, Saturday May 28 in his hometown, Ijebu Ijesha in Osun.

Programme of the burial released by the family indicates that a Christian wake is slated for 27th, May at Oke Agboja, Ijebu Ijesha.

Ekemode was a saxophonist, singer, band leader and songwriter closely associated with afrobeat music.

He was popular with his tracks such as “Jaguar nana, Adara” among others.

Orlando Julius died on the 14th of April, 2022 at 79years.
