Worried by the recent terror attack on a church in Owo, Professionals from all sectors under the International Strategic Management Institute, ISMI, will converge on Akure, the Ondo State capital, to discuss collaboration between government and security agencies in tackling high rate of insecurity ln the country.

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is hosting the conference with the theme “Security and Development: Our Collective Responsibility” in Akure, holding on Thursday 9th of June

The Permanent Secretary, Ondo State Ministry of Economic Planning,  Chief Bunmi Alade noted that the time for the conference was apt judging by the attack on St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo last Sunday.

Addressing newsmen in Akure,  Board Chairman of the institute, Comrade Paul Yaro Jezhi, said the conference would proffer lasting solutions to the rising spate of crimes in the country at the 4th Biennial Global Conference.

In a message , the Chief Promoter of the institute, Dr.(Mrs.) Bisi Adanri emphasized the importance of continuous discourse on insecurity

The Director General of the institute, Dr. Christabel Nnaemeka disclosed that the institute would also donate copies of a handbook on security to teachers of primary and secondary schools in the state.
