The Ondo State Director of National Orientation Agency Mrs Adelayo Adefolalu has condemned the Sunday attack on worshippers of St Francis Catholic Church Owo and killings of innocent souls describing the dastard act as barbaric, callous, cruel and gruesome.
Mrs Adefolalu in a Press Statement on Tuesday made available to newsmen through the Agency Public Relations Officer Ralph Oguntibeju said the attack was a calculated attempt to disrupt the unity of the peace loving people of Owo kingdom and the good people of the State with possible consequence of invitation to National anarchy which will be highly resisted with the assurances of the commitment of government to bring those behind the satanic act to book.
“I can assure you of the readiness of all security operatives in the state to apprehend those behind the horrific attack and Mr Governor has directed security operatives to maintain law and order so as to restore normalcy to the good people of Owo kingdom ”
“we take solace in God for his benevolence to mankind even as our hearts are heavy with grief and we pray that such unimaginable inhuman act will never happen again”.
The NOA boss while commiserating with the people of Owo kingdom particularly the families and relatives of the victims over the unfortunate incident urged them to remain calm and be more security conscious.
She also pleaded to them not to take the laws into their hands by embarking on a reprisal attack which is unlawful.
Mrs Adefolalu further admonished the people of the state to always watch out for strange faces and report every suspicious movements to security operatives in order to forestall future occurrence.
