Southwest Governors have been challenged to redesign their security architecture to safeguard the lives and property of the people.
AFENIFERE leader Pa Ayo Adebanjo gave the charge when he led members of the group to Ondo state.
Pa Adebanjo while sympathizing with the people of Ondo state,the governor,Olowo of Owo Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin and the catholic church called for a proper review and introduction of community policing.
Pa Adebanjo said until perpetrators caught and prosecuted and their sponsors uncovered , such attacks would persist.
The pan Yoruba group then donated one point five million naira to the Catholic Church and the victims.
Reacting, the Olowo of Owo Oba Ajibade Ogunoye thanked AFENIFERE for their show of love promising to encourage other traditional rulers in the south west to come up with further strategies towards improving security in the region.
During a condolence visit to the office of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu the AFENIFERE leader prayed for a peaceful and prosperous southwest.
The delegation included the Alaago of Ago Ijesha , Oba Oladipo Olaitan,chief Olu Falae,Mr Sola Ebiseni ,Dr Shola Agboola former AIG Mr Tunde Alapini among others.
