……..Hands over sum of N2.5m being donations collected through the palace to the Church…….
The Olowo of Owo Kingdom and Paramount Ruler of Owo Land,His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, on Thursday, donated the sum of N500,000.00, being his contribution in offsetting medical bills of the injured and relief package for victims of the deadly attack on St Francis Catholic Church, Owo few days ago.
In a similar development, His Imperial Majesty, invited the Leaders of the Catholic Church to come and take custody of Cash/cheque totalling N2.5 Million being redeemed donations from kind spirited groups and individuals to assist in offsetting victims’ medical bills and ameliorating the sufferings of the families of those killed in the dastard operations of the gunmen last Sunday in Owo.
While in the palace, the Leaders of the church led by the Vicar in Charge, Rev Father, Anadi Vincent, collected the money and cheque from Olowo with a promise that, any further donation received by the palace will surely get to the Church without delay.
