A 30 year old man identified as Ebube Oba has allegedly killed a co- tenant and mother of two during a fight at their residence in Nkpor Agu , Idemili North local government area Anambra State.
According to an eye witness account, quarrel had broken out between Oba and the deceased, whose name was given as Uzoamaka Ekpe, which later resulted in a fight.
Confirming the incident in a press release , the Police Spokesperson, Mr Toochukwu Ikenga, revealed that the suspect had been arrested.
According to the Statement, preliminary information revealed that late Mrs Uzoamaka had a quarrel with the suspect which resulted to fisticuffs and Ebube hit the victim on the chest and face with a fist blow, which made her to collapse.
She was rushed to the hospital and was later confirmed dead by a medical doctor on duty.
The statement says the body has been deposited to the morgue and the suspect in custody while the case shall be charged to court after Investigation.
