The All Progressives Congress, APC says it has nothing to do with a document in circulation entitled; “leaked APC 2023 Election Document”, which alleges that the party budgeted 6.5 trillion naira to sway the 2023 elections in its favour.
In a statement, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Felix Morka explained that the allegation was mischievous and ridiculous.
Mr. Morka said the document alleges that the obscene amount had been voted for outright vote-buying; compromising INEC staff; security operatives; judicial officers and other officials.
He said the APC wished to place firmly on record that the document was not of the Party but a handiwork of the opposition in a desperate quest for unmerited electoral advantage.
The APC spokesman maintained that the Party was focused on delivering the dividends of democracy to Nigerians with the hope that they would reciprocate by supporting and voting for the candidates of the party in next year’s elections.
Mr. Morka assured Nigerians that the APC would remain committed to building an innovative system of free and credible elections as witnessed in the recently concluded Governorship elections in Ekiti state.
