It was a joyous moment of the send off for a meritorious service of the Immediate Past Acting Zonal Federal Radio Corporation Nigeria FRCN, Ibadan Zonal station who is now the Director of Lagos Operations, Mrs Bolanle Owóyemi.
The event held at broadcasting house, Dugbe Ibadan, was also Marketing Department Appreciation Day.
Speaking at the event, the Zonal Director, Mrs Bolatiito Joseph commended Mrs Owóyemi for a meritorious service and prayed God to continue to elevate her.
Mrs Joseph who thanked the marketing department for honouring some members of staff of the department, expressed optimism that it would boost the morale of the staff for improved productivity, urged them to continue to be diligent in their work.
” You will see that we have over forty FM Stations in Oyo State and we are drawing from the same market, therefore we need to do more, we need to work harder”.
Earlier in an address of welcome, Deputy Director Marketing, Mr Adewale Afinjuomo said the day was to appreciate the immediate past Deputy Director, Mrs Owóyemi and the members of staff for their positive contributions across the zonal station.
Reacting, the celebrant, Director Lagos Operations, Mrs Owóyemi expressed gratitude to her colleagues for the honour.
” it came as a surprise to me to be celebrated when the Deputy Director Marketing Mr Adewale Afiju called that I should prepare for the send off I appreciate what they have done, I pray God will reward them back”
Hight point of the event was the presentation of gifts to well deserved members of staff.
