It was a moment of encomium showering at a welcome party organised for the retired Director of Finance Accounts, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN headquarters, Abuja, Pastor Michael Oluwole.
The party organised by FRCN, Ibadan National Station was held at Progress FM Ado Ekiti to welcome the retired Director back home.
The immediate past Director of Finance and Accounts, FRCN national headquarters, Abuja, Pastor Michael Oluwole joined the service of Radio Nigeria on January 2, 1992 and retired on June 6, 2022.
Those who spoke at the party extolled the virtues of Pastor Oluwole.
The Zonal Director, FRCN, Ibadan Zonal Station, Mrs. Bolatito Joseph said the zone witnessed growth and development when Pastor Oluwole was in service.
Mrs. Joseph noted that the party was to celebrate the good deeds of the former Director whom she said affected many lives positively.
In his welcome address, the General Manager, Progress FM Ado-Ekiti, Mr. Dokun Ladele pointed out that it became imperative to celebrate Pastor Oluwole in view of the various assistance he had rendered to people.
Mr. Ladele said Progress FM would continue to be grateful to Pastor Oluwole for his support towards the growth of the station.
Chairman on the occasion, Pastor Jide Akinleye who is the immediate past Permanent Secretary, Ekiti State Ministry of Health described the celebrant as a diligent personality and good friend.
The Onise of Odo Oro-Ekiti, the hometown of the celebrant, Oba Babatunde Jemilehin described him as a true son of Ekiti State who had done the state proud while in service.
While speaking, some of the family members, friends and colleagues of Pastor Oluwole including the Deputy Director Finance and Accounts, Ibadan Zonal Station, Mr. Akin Amole and the Deputy Director Engineering, Mr. Gabriel Ajayi identified him as a rare gift from God.
Wife of the celebrant, Mrs. Patience Oluwole said her husband was hardworking, peace loving and a good family man.
On his part, the Retired Director of Finance and Accounts, Pastor Michael Oluwole appreciated the management and staff of FRCN Ibadan Zonal Station for honouring him.
He however called on those still in service to shun laziness in order to be celebrated after retirement.
The programme featured presentation of gifts to the celebrant, cutting of cake and presentation of letters of commendation to members of staff of Progress FM for their outstanding performances during the just concluded governorship election in Ekiti State.
