In Ondo state, about five hundred youths have been trained in various skill acquisition programmes for self reliance
The five hundred youths were trained in different skills ranging from barbing, web design, digital marketing, fish farming, make up amongst others.
In his keynote address, at the graduation held at the Dome in Akure, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu advised youths to embrace entrepreneurship and technological skills to enhance their capacity to be employers of labour.
Governor Akeredolu who was represented by his deputy, Lucky Ayedatiwa assured of government’s resolve to make Ondo state an investment hub for residents and visitors.
Earlier in a welcome address, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on youth empowerment, Mr Lincoln Ojo lauded Governor Akeredolu for youth friendly initiatives programmes urging them to make judicious use of the skills acquired.
In their goodwill messages, representative of Nigerian German centre for jobs and other partners said the skills will empower the beneficiaries to be self reliant.
