People with disabilities have been encouraged to identify and build on their talents to better their lives and the society at large
This came from speakers at the 2nd memorial lecture, quiz and debate organised in memory of Late Mrs. Mojisola Ruth Sedara at the Ondo State school for the visually impaired in Owo
A family member of the late Sedara, Mrs Funmilayo Omorinoye said everyone was endowed with talents hence the need to identify the hidden talents for the benefit of mankind.
The school principal, Mr Leloh Andrew enjoined the people to emulate the legacies of late Mojisola Ruth Sedara who contributed immensely to the progress of her Students.
The foundation secretary, Mr Nasirudeen Oladele on the occasion related fond memories of Late Mrs. Sedera whom until her death was a teacher with Ondo State Ministry of Education.
He described her as an icon who ensured the less privileged got educated regardless of their predicaments.
Two students, Ganiyu Faruk and Dennis Beauty appreciated the foundation and implored government to continue to support them learning materials while also calling on parents having children with disabilities to enroll them in schools.
Highpoint of the event included special presentation of music, recitation of poems, awards of prizes and scholarships to outstanding students in the competition in honour of the late visually impaired icon, Mrs Mojisola Ruth Sedara who passed on July 19th 2020.
