Radio Nigeria Positive FM and two members of its staff , Manager , Outside Broadcast and sports , Mr Sunkanmi Taiwo, and Principal producer, Miss Gbemisola Oyediran have been honoured with awards by Clinton Bankole Sports Foundation.
The awards ceremony which took place along with a football match at the school of Agric , Akure were in commemoration of the 7th Anniversary of the Deji of Akure , Oba Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo
Speaking on the occasion , Oba Aladetoyinbo represented by the Odofin Lisa of Akure , Basorun Akin Adinlewa charged stakeholders in the sports sector to brainstorm on using sports to solve some challenges in the country.
The monarch who was also an award recipient appealed to the government to engage more youths to channel their energy into sports rather than taking to crimes
In a remark , the facilitator of the event chief Clinton Bankole said the event was also targeted at discovering new talents in the game of football.
In the football match Akure city under fifteen defeated Brave Amateko 5-4 on penalty after playing one all draw at the end of regulation time.
