Mothers and Nigerians in general have been reminded of the need to always patronize government approved health institutions rather than patronizing quacks.

These were the words of a philantropist, Alhaja Latifat kilani, while presenting gifts to a baby born on her birthday at the Ondo state specialist hospital, Ikare Akoko, Ondo state.

The baby is a child of Mr and Mrs Matthew Ishola who reside in the town.

Represented at the ceremony by her husband, Alhaji Ibrahim Kilani, the philantropist said she was born in the same hospital many years ago.

Alhaja Kilani noted that rather than throwing a lavish birthday party, she chose to reach out to the less privileged on her special day.

According to her, a modest donation of bedsheets which was among other gifts given to the baby was also presented to the Ondo state psychiatric hospital in Akure while Afin Akoko basic health centre will  also benefit from the same gesture.

Receiving the donation, the couple, Mr and Mrs Matthew Ishola commended the donor for the gift items which they said were timely.

While appreciating the philantropist for her generosity, the chief medical  director, Ondo state specialist hospital, Ikare Akoko,  Dr Idowu Ayodeji commended the kilani’s family for their philanthropic gestures particularly on health matters calling on other well meaning Nigerians to emulate the gesture.
