Head coach of Kano pillars volleyball team Musa Baba Musa has described the consistency of the league and other developmental programmes as the best way to reclaim the nation’s top sport in the continent.

Coach Musa Baba Musa stated this while speaking at the ongoing 2022 Nigeria volleyball premier league for men and women at the indoor sports hall of the Akure sports complex.

Coach Musa while commending the federation emphasized that his team, Kano pillars were in the state to defend their trophy despite the departure of some players and the infusion of new talents.

Also speaking, Players representative Emmanuel Jatho who expressed satisfaction with the overall performance of the athletes,umpires and coaches said he expects more fireworks at the ongoing volleyball premier league.

The ongoing volleyball premier league comprises the female and male teams from states such as Benue, Kaduna, Kano, Kwara, Ondo and teams from customs, Correctional service, NSCDC and the Police force volleyball team.

One of the players in the tournament and the libro of the national team from Sunshine club of Ondo state appealed to the federation to sustain the league to keep the players in good form.

The league which started on Wednesday 14th of this month will come to a close on Monday 26th of this month.
