The Eyitayo Volunteers Group (EVG), in coalition with some other support groups have unveiled PDP candidates for the 2023 elections .
The political leaders who gathered for the event in Akure expressed optimism in the capacity of the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (GCON) to unify the country.
Addressing the party leaders, former PDP Governorship Candidate ,Mr Eyitayo Jegede ( SAN) was hopeful that the party would surpass its presidential election victory of 2015 in Ondo State in the 2023 Elections by voting overwhelmingly for all PDP candidates.
He reiterated that the Peoples Democratic party was the only party in the country with well organized structures that cater for all Nigerians not minding ethnicity and religion.
Earlier, Ondo state PDP chairman , Hon. Fatai Adams encouraged the PDP faithful to work for the success of the party in all the 3,933 polling units across Ondo State and that they should sensitize electorates that PDP policies will better the lots of Nigerians.
He advised the members to sink their differences and deliver their units for the party that was willing to revive the country’s economy.
The chairman of the occasion and Ondo North PDP senatorial candidate, Akogun Tokunbo Modupe charged party faithfuls at the event to go back to their various units, work with vigour and ensure all PDP candidates emerge victorious during the 2023 elections.
A PDP chieftain, Mr Babatunde Faro said Alhaji Atiku Abubakar political antecedents and experience as a former vice-president of the country who was in charge of Nigeria economy would definitely transform Nigeria if he eventually becomes the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Also speaking , the EVG State coordinator, Mr Afolabi Bakare said the event was a catalyst to project all the party’s candidates ahead of the next general elections.
The event had in attendance hundreds of PDP stalwarts including the Ondo State former Deputy Governor,H.E Ambassador Omolade Oluwateru, Senator Yele Omogunwa, PDP state executive members, Mr. Olumide Ogunkua, some of PDP candidates, non indigene groups that are supporting PDP and a host of others.
