The immediate past Commissioner in the ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development in Ondo State, Mrs Yetunde Adeyanju has defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC to the People’s Democratic Party PDP.

 

While joining the party at Ore in Odigbo local Government Area of the state, the Mrs Adeyanju hinged her decision on divine intervention

The former commissioner said she held no grudge against governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu except for some undemocratic ways the APC led government in the state were handling matters affecting the masses

Receiving the erstwhile commissioner, the state chairman, Alhaji Fatai Adams and the PDP governorship candidate in Ogun State Oladipupo Adebutu said Nigeria required a party that cuts across all geopolitical zones to return peace to the country.

The party leadership argued that there were agitations from various regions owing to the absence of fairness, justice and equity and implored implores the Party members to unite and unify the country

Also Speaking, the state’s former deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi and the house of representatives candidate for Odigbo and ileoluji okeigbo federal constituency, Dr Timothy Adeoye said PDP had come to save the citizenry from the perennial hunger, injustices, insecurity, educational and economic backwardness among others.

The defection was witnessed by political bigwigs within and outside the state including the former APC chairman, Engineer Clement Faboyede, the deputy governor elect in Osun State, Prince Kola Adewusi among others.
