Ilara- Mokin in Ifedore Council area of Ondo State became agog as the 50th anniversary of Apostolic High School begins on Wednesday, 28th September , 2022.
Dignitaries flooded the Apostolic church venue of the thanksgiving service kick-starting the three day celebrations.
At the service , the school principal , Mrs Oluwakemi Akinjọ̀lirẹ̀ read the only scripture while Pastor James Avoseh in a sermon charged both old and new students of the school to imbibe the habit of giving thanks to God always.
As part of the celebrations , the anniversary delegation also visited Adaba FM, the palace of Alara of Ilara Mokin , Oba Abiodun Adefeyinti Aderemi, Elizade University and the school premises all in the ancient town.
The President ,Old Students Association , Dr Femi Aladegbaye, secretary , Dr Yemisi Olorunsola and the Chairman , Anniversary events , Dr Adedayo Afe appreciated God for his mercies and pledged more support for the school.
Among the old Students who attended the ceremony were top government functionaries, academia, business tycoons, traditional and political leaders including the speaker , Ondo State house of Assembly , Mr Bamidele Oleyeloogun and permanent Secretary, office of establishment, Mrs Olufunke Dare-Atunse.
The events for the 50th anniversary continue till 29th and 30th of September , 2022 featuring reunion morning assembly with old and new students , press conference, essay competition, annual lecture and special interhouse sports competition , inauguration of building projects executed by the old students association by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu , free health services and annual general meeting with election of new officers for the old students body.
