It was celebration galore as families, friends and colleagues gathered at the Adegbemile hall to celebrate a cultural icon, Mrs Yemisi Grace Olakojo popularly called iye omo for her 35 years retirement from the service of Ondo state.
The event which featured cultural display by the Ondo state cultural Troupe was a combination of glitz and glamour to celebrate the retiring deputy director.
Speaking on the occasion, the former speaker ,Ondo state house of Assembly ,Victor olabimtan described the celebrant as a worthy public servant , truthful and dependable .
He urged other civil servants to emulate her in the discharge of their duties.
Speaking to positive Fm ,the celebrant, Mrs Yemisi olakojo appreciated God for sound health and opportunity to retire well.
She appreciated her husband,friends and family for the support given to her while in service.
One of the daughter of the celebrant ,A lecturer at the Adekunle Ajasin university Akungba Akoko, Mrs Olanireti Falade described her mum as a disciplinarian and committed mother.
Some of her colleagues at the Ondo state cultural troupe eulogised her commitment and service to civil service.
