A five- man committee has been inaugurated as State Advocacy Team(SAT) for the resilient system for sustainable health(RSSH) in Oyo state.

The event took place at the end of a -three day training for health workers and journalists held in Ibadan.

Okoro who inaugurated the team members , described them
as people who had been tested and trusted.

She urged them to work according to mandate of the intervention and collaborate more with stakeholders both at the state and Federal levels.

Mrs Okoro also admonished the media to perform a role in advocacy by disseminating right information .

Executive secretary,Oyo State Primary Health Care Development Agency , Dr Babatunde Olatunji said government had procured more drugs and equipment to many health facilities .

Dr Olatunji pointed out that Oyo state government had also rehabilitated primary health care facilities in the state for good health care delivery services.

On medications for people living with HIV/AIDS and other diseases,
Dr Olatunji affirmed that there were medical centres at local governments with mandate to give medication,counselling and testing for patients.

Oyo state programmes officer of NEPWHAN, Mr Oluseun Adebiyi,said the initiative focused on improving the standard of health services in rural communities amidst covid 19 pandemic .
