Niger State House of Assembly has given the state Commissioner of Works, Alh Mohammed Sani Musa twenty eight hours to fix the collapsed portion of Minna-Bida road of face vote of no confidence.
This followed a matter of urgent public importance brought before it by member representing Bida constituency Mohammed Haruna at house plenary in Minna.
He maintained that as a gate way from North to the Southern part of Nigeria members of the Niger state House of Assembly will not fold their arms to allow its people and comutters to be subjected to undue hardship.
He however lamented that motorists plying the road were forced to take alternative routes which he said in most cases are more than double of the real kilometers they are suppose to cover in a normal situation.

 

In his contribution member representing Mokwa constituency Abdullahi Shaba expressed dismay over alleged neglect of Minna Bida road by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state for years.
They also asked the Niger state government to take appropriate measures to rectify the problem for the betterment of Nigerlites and Nigerians.
Despite repeated calls to the Niger state Commissioner of Works Mohammed Sani Lafiya and that of Information and Strategy Emmanuel Musa Umar to comment on the issue they have not responded to any of such calls.
