50 million African women speak out ECOWAS project has been launched in Akure the Ondo State capital.
The project is giving credible support to women Entrepreneurs to create a dynamic networking platform and foster economic development in the state and the country at large.
At the unveiling , the state Matron of the group, Ambassador Racheal Adewumi explained that the project for both educated and uneducated would improve their businesses making it global.
The state Commissioner for Women Affairs, Dr Olubunmi Oshadun who lauded the project said it would go a long way at empowering women in various skills.
Also speaking, State Coordinator NACCIMA Business women group / President Akoko Chamber of commerce Industry mines and Agriculture Dr Funmilola Williams-Daudu appreciated the ondo state government for providing business women with enabling environment.
In her keynote address, the General manager, Radio Nigeria, Positive FM Akure, Mrs Olubunmi Olalere encouraged women in the state to team up and empower themselves rather than running one another down.
In a goodwill message, the Ondo state chairman, National Association of Nigeria Traders, Pastor Mayowa Olawoye described advised women to join the group to develop the economy.
Appreciating people of ondo state for accepting the project in the state, the state coordinator of the Project ,Mrs Folayemi Ola-Benson explained that the motive behind the program is to see that all women get connected, empowered and networked by bringing information to them at the grassroot.
The program witnessed presentation of token to support the businesses of Members of the platform in recognition of their commitment to the project .
