It was celebration all the way as Christ Followers Evangelical Ministry, Goshen land, New Glory, Ibadan, Oyo state dedicated its multi-million naira cathedral amidst praises, Thanksgiving and jubilation to God
The over one thousand seater auditorium, situated at Ilugusi Estate, Odò-Ọnà Eléwé, Ibadan hosted the 13th Annual Conference , Anniversary, Dedication and Ordination service of the church.
The epoch making event was witnessed by dignitaries from all walks of life, members of the Church, Clergymen , Music Ministers including the renowned Evangelist Bola Are and Elijah Akíntúndé who treated the people to melodious and soul lifting music.
Chairman at the Occasion, who is alsothe immediate past Deputy Director News and Current Affairs, FRCN Ibadan, Asiwaju Samson Tunde Abiodun said he was happy to be part of the event as he witnessed the foundation laying of the cathedral situated opposite his house.
Asiwaju Abiodun maintained that the church had been a blessing to the community.
At the event, Asiwaju Abiodun announced the sponsorship of Jamb forms for two indigent students in the church on behalf of his family.
In a sermon, Prophet Olabode Samiye condenmed the spate at which fake Preachers spring up all in the bid to live in affluence by swindling innocent church members of their meager resources.
Prophet Samiye, who is the General Overseer of Angel of Christ Gospel Church, Ibadan, urged Christians to seek the in-filling of the holy spirit for discernment, guidance and quick identification of fake prophets or prophecy.
Founder of the church, Prophetess Esther Adebayo Adonai (JP) who recounted the developmental stages the church went through attributed the numerical growth of the congregation to the grace of God.
“We started here with six members, in 2009, a makeshift shelter was constructed as a temporary place of worship, we persevered in faith and today, God gave us a magnificent Auditorium which we now call Glory Dome”
Prophetess Adebayo Adonai, (JP) urged Nigerian leaders and the citizens to keep faith in God and fear him in all their dealings to attain a greater nation.
Highlights of the event was the ordination of some members into different cadres of ministries among them was the Wife of Asiwaju Samson Tunde Abiodun, Mrs. Dupe Adejoke Abiodun who was ordained as a Lady Evangelist.
The event also witnessed cutting of the anniversary cake by the founder and dignitaries.
