The Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi has expressed delight with the no-polio status of Nigeria and recognized the efforts of Rotary international in helping the country to achieve the feat.

Oba Aladelusi Spoke while playing Host to some members of  Rotary club, Ondo state in Akure.

The monarch encouraged the club not to relent but ensure that Polio remains locked out of Nigeria .

In separate remarks, Ondo state W.H.O coordinator Dr Dele Davies and the permanent secretary, primary healthcare development agency, Dr Francis Akanbiemu represented by Dr the director, disease control and immunisation in the agency, Dr Akinpelumi Adefeseyo advised the parents to cooperate with government’s Directives to keep poliomyelitis out.

Earlier, Rotary Assistant Governor, Mr Oluyede Aturamu and the polio Representative, Ondo State, Miss Bose Akinyanju Disclosed that two drops of spectrum Administered on the children would prevent them from contracting the disease for life.

Meanwhile, Traders at shasha Market in Akure have benefitted from the Rotary club family health program during which they got drugs, mosquito nets, free medical test and advice.

Shasha Market secretary, Alhaji Aminu Jubril while appreciating the gesture commended Rotary club for seeing to the health of the less privileged.

Speaking with Newsmen, the Ondo state coordinator, rotary family health, Mrs Iseyemi olusola explained that the exercise was undertaken to help the downtrodden in the society.
