The Labour Party is to formally launch its campaign today in Lafia, the Nasarawa State Capital.

The party had on Friday the 28th of October, the Labour Party Inaugurated its Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the presidential campaign activities.

The Party’s Presidential Candidate Mr Peter Obi and his Vice Presidential Candidate Mr Datti Baba-Ahmed have been in the State ahead of today’s flag off.

In a statement earlier issued on Monday this week by the Chief Spokesperson of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Yunusa Tanko, explained that the campaign flag off was shifted to today to enable the LP presidential candidate visit States that were affected by flood.

According to the LP Presidential Campaign Council, Mr Peter Obi, went to some affected states to empathize with the affected victims and communities across the Federation.

The 20th of October was earlier scheduled for the official Commencement of the Presidential Campaign of the Labour Party but shifted to today to enable Mr. Peter Obi visit flood ravaging States.

 

Mr Peter Obi and his vice Presidential Candidate Mr Datti Baba-Ahmed had last month attended a Mega rally organised in Jos the Plateau State by the Middle Belt Forum in solidarity with their ambitions.
