Some leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Akoko area of Ondo state have expressed optimism in the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to replicate his achievements as Lagos State governor in Nigeria if elected.
They made the submission during a meeting of the Solomon Oladunni solidarity forum in conjunction with Southwest Agenda for Asiwaju, SWAGA in Okeagbe Akoko, Ondo state.
Speaking at the meeting, Chief Solomon Oladunni noted that Asiwaju Tinubu was a lover of masses and builder of men having assisted many Nigerians who were now contributing to national development.
Chief Oladunni gave an assurance that Ondo state would benefit greatly from the presidency if the Tinubu/Shettima Ticket sails through urging the people of the state to give massive votes to it.
A former federal lawmaker, Mr kolawole Babatunde urged all APC members in Akoko to canvass votes for the party at all levels.
Also speaking, a former commissioner for women affairs in Ondo state, Mrs Olayinka Alabi called for more recognition for women in politics because of their numerical strength.
The meeting resolved to embark on a walk in the four Akoko local governments areas to create awareness and mobilise support for Asiwaju Tinubu.
Other dignitaries at the meeting included former lawmakers in Ondo, Mr Adesina Emiola and Mr Ogunbi as well as other APC Leaders from Across the state.
