As reactions continued to trail the absence of some candidates about election debate organized by some organisations, a professor of Political Economy, Professor Pat Utomi has called for disqualification of any candidate that fail to attend elections debate.

He also urged the electorate to use their voting power to vote against candidates that fail to make himself or herself for election debate.

Speaking with journalists ahead of the Big Tent meeting in Abuja, Professor Utomi, explained that election debate provides the electorate to asses the plans and capacity of candidates before elections.

Professor Pat Utomi who is also the Chairman of the Big Tent Political Movement stressed that election debate was an important aspect in the electoral process that deepen democratic system of every nation

According to Professor Pat Utomi, no less than fifteen Nigerians who are committed members of the Labour Party, would be manned in each polling units across the country to monitor as well as ensure the credibility of the 2023 elections.

Professor Utomi reiterated that, the Labour Party if elected in the 2023 elections would return the nation from a consumption to a production country.
