INEC Chairman, Professor Mamhood Yakubu has deployed new Resident Electoral Commissioner to Ekiti State.
He is Professor Ayobami Salami, the Pioneer vice Chancellor of Nigeria’s Premier Technical University, First Technical University, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Meanwhile, the former INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Ekiti State, Dr Adeniran Tella has handed over to the new REC, Professor Ayobami Salami.
He was later conducted round the INEC office in Ado Ekiti by the Administrative Secretary, Mrs Feyi Saseyi.
A statement by the Commission’s public Affairs Officer, Mrs Rolake Odebunmi says the new REC resumed today, Tuesday, November 15.
