The Akure South Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP will on Friday 18th November, 2022 inaugurate a 400 member campaign committee to mobilise support and votes for the party and her candidates, ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The campaign committee which consist of deserving party faithful who had served PDP at one time or the other, were carefully constituted by the local government Executives, leaders and stakeholders. The committee will be chaired by Amb. Omolade Oluwateru, former Ondo State Deputy Governor while Arch. Jide Adejuyigbe, one time Council Boss & former commissioner for Education will serve as the Head of Campaign and to be deputised by Prince Tony Ala.
The party in a release made available to the public through the secretary explained that the committee has a main body which is ‘Campaign Council’ comprising of sixteen (16) notable persons including candidates of the party and would be assisted by 20 sub-committees, headed by a person who would be referred to as ‘chairman’.
Furthermore, the committee is saddled with the huge responsibility of projecting, convincing and mobilising the electorates to vote for the candidates of the party in the forthcoming elections. The party urged the nominees to be up and doing and show a good sense of commitment to every activity of the committee.
It’s therefore expedient to note that, winning the forthcoming elections requires lots of sacrifices, team work and collective efforts in order to rescue our society from hopelessness, hardship and insecurity which have taken the centre stage since APC took over power.
Moreover, our confidence and conviction in the quality of members of the committee and their capabilities to deliver Akure and environs for Atiku/Okowa and other candidates remain unwavering.
The inauguration ceremony which is slated for Friday 18th, November 2022 will take place at Amazing Place Event Center, Oda Road Akure by 10am. All the members of Campaign Council, Committee heads & members, party leaders, members, critical stakeholders and general public are hereby notified and invited accordingly.
