Osun state governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has been urged to ensure a government that will see to the welfare of the state civil service and the residents in general.

This forms part of admonition from clerics during an inter-religious prayer service to usher in Senator Ademola Adeleke to office at the state Secretariat Abere.

The inter-religious prayer programme was characterized by prayers for Governor Ademola Adeleke for divine wisdom and guidance in administering the state.

The prayer also centred on wisdom to select state executives Council members, prayer for discovery of abundant human and natural resources as well as wisdom for revenue generation.

In their messages, Mallam Musibaudeen Orimadegun and Reverend Father Michael Akinsode admonished Governor Adeleke to ensure good welfare for the citizenry reminding him that every leader will give account of how he managed his surbordinates.

They clerics urged the governor to bring an end to holiganism and thuggery in the state.

In his remark, Governor Adeleke appreciated Osun civil servants for their love and support promising that they would enjoy his government.

 

Governor Adeleke while canvassing for dedication to duty stressed that everyone should think of what to contribute to move the state forward.

He however cautioned against indiscipline and sharp practices stressing that due process must be followed in every official conduct.

Earlier in an address, the permanent secretary, Public Service office, office of the head of service, Mr Leye Aina had promised the governor of the dedication of the state civil servants.
