Public and private partnership in managing the school system is one way to address series of challenges facing the education sector .
The National President, Methodist High School, Okitipupa Old Students Association, Mr Adewole Egbodofo made the assertion while featuring on on Positive FM Guest of the Week.
Mr Egbodofo who admitted that government alone could not finance the sector enjoined all stakeholders to come together to salvage the country’s education system .
Speaking on the forthcoming one billion naira development fund- raising ceremony organized by the old students association, Mr Egbodofo disclosed that the programme was put together to intervene in the school’s infrastructure deficit
The association’s PRO, Mr Lasisi Akindehinde said the event coming up on thursday December 29th, 2022 at the Dome would be chaired by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and graced by eminent personalities across Nigeria .
Both Mr Egbodofo and Mr Akindehinde enjoined members of the Methodist High School Okitipupa Old Students Association to rally and support the program to achieve the set goal.
Meanwhile , towards the 1billion development fund-raising event , the association will be having it’s emergency national convention/conference on Saturday , December 3rd at the school premises in Okitipupa .
A statement from the National PRO , Mr Lasisi Akindehinde enjoins members to attend promptly.
He adds that the convention which holds at one’o clock in the afternoon will be livestream on Facebook , YouTube , Twitter and Zoom for those who cannot attend physically but participate virtually.
