Mrs Olufisoye Adenitan of Radio Nigeria Positive FM Akure has emerged the Ondo NUJ Broadcast Journalist of the year (Radio Category).
The award was presented to her at the grand finale of the 2022 press week celebration of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ondo state chapter, held at the Press centre, Alagbaka Akure.
Adenitan beat other contestants in the category to clinch the prestigious NUJ award.
She won with a special report on the economic effect of the ASUU eight month’s strike on stakeholders.
This is the second time the versatile journalist is winning the NUJ award as she was the Union’s grassroots journalist of the year in 2021.
Mrs Adenitan who is so passionate about the journalism profession is a fellow of the Africa Women in Media for solution Journalism approach to reporting violence against women and girls as well as peace and conflict reporting.
Responding, Mrs Adenitan said she was excited about the recognition and appreciated Radio Nigeria for giving her the platform to shine.
She also appreciated Dr Felix Ale, sponsor of the award.
